Super Street Fighter IV Details Unveiled
It’s official, Capcom announced the upcoming release of Super Street Fighter IV. The follow-up will include the full roster of 25 characters from Street Fighter IV while adding about eight new characters, including T. Hawk as well as all-new characters including a female fighter named Juri.
Super Street Fighter IV will also have new Ultra Combos and advancements to online gameplay. The game is expected to be released in Spring 2010 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
This is kinda good news, and also not.. I LOVE the Street Fighter series, and I’m playing SFIV daily. And a new game already is just brilliant, especially with 8 new characters and some all-new ones.
But…and this is a big but (no pun intended), SSFIV will not be compatible with SFIV online.. So I can’t play against gamers who only have the first SFIV if I’m playing on the new one. Is that REALLY that hard to do..? We have come so far in gaming development, that this should be a minor task for Capcom.
And second, why not make this a DLC for the original SFIV..? Why a stand alone game..? This could be the #1 DLC for spring 2010, but I’m afraid that it wont sell that much when it is a stand-alone game. It WILL sell a lot, bot even more if it came as DLC. That’s just my opinion.
Non the less, I can’t wait to try it out
