EA Locks Down NFL License until 2013

EA has extended its exclusive rights deal with the National Football League for five more years. The new deal also gives EA access to content from NFL Films and the NFL Network. So what does this mean for pigskin gamers? They’ll still have no choice but to buy Madden or NFL Tour in order to get their NFL fix. Personally, I think this deal sucks. I was waiting for this deal to expire in hopes of giving other third-party developers like Midway and 2ksports the chance to once again create an NFL game. I am a huge Madden fan, but it would be nice to have an alternative, like the NFL 2k series. This deal kills that possibility.

Aww, i never liked madden, always thought it sucked…the controls are too complicated and just really too many buttons to press lol…but i think im still a hardcore gamer even though i don’t like any sport games at all on a game console.
