The NBA 2K9 Cover Athlete Is… Fri, 06 Jun 2008 02:08:04 +0000 rio

Kevin Garnett! The ad that played during the NBA Finals pre-game show can be seen here. The Kevin Garnett player model looks almost dead-on like his real-life counterpart, from his face to the knee-pad and shoes. Player sweat is back as well. I know it’s too early to judge the game, but I was impressed with what I saw. Let’s hope 2K9 improves on 2K8 come October.

My pick for the cover athlete? I know it’s not happening, but I’m supporting my team, the Warriors, by picking Baron Davis AKA Boom Dizzle.
